Our Semi-Private Group Classes offer a safer and more effective practice than your typical yoga class. It may come as a surprise, but it is not uncommon for yoga practitioners (including teachers themselves) to experience pain from taking group yoga classes, especially if there’s already an existing injury or medical condition. If you’re seeking more individualized attention to get the most out of your time and energy, consider our smaller group classes.
(Here’s a research article and video on yoga-related injuries.)
What to Expect:
Join May as she leads a unique semi-private yoga therapy class where emphasis is on smart conditioning of the body. Class offers a balance of intelligently guided postures to mobilize and stabilize the spine, hips, and shoulders. You will explore concepts and practices on how to release fascia and tensions (as opposed to overstretching connective tissues) and will finish with breathing and guided meditation to reset the mind and body. Ideal for students of all levels who experience minor to moderate aches and pains or for those looking to fine tune their practice. Registration also includes a free 30 min intake and assessment so that the class is more purposefully tailored to the student’s needs.
