rePOSITION – Posture Clinic 


The human spine is very strong and sturdy when we regularly practice good posture. Unfortunately in the modern world, everyday activities such as driving or sitting behind a desk all day often lead us to slumping and slouching which causes severe imbalances in our muscles and ligaments. These imbalances regularly lead to back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain and headaches.

Without intervention, poor posture may lead to:

  • Chronic Muscle tension
  • Loss of Movement
  • Fatigue
  • Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Heart and Lung Difficulties
  • Poor Digestion
  • Diminished energy and mood


Fortunately, in most cases, the effects of poor posture can be stopped or reversed. Whether you are a brand new beginner or seasoned yoga asana practitioner, all will benefit from studying the alignment and anatomical principles explored in this posture clinic. Together, we will develop an awareness of our own postural habits in a safe, supportive community while learning the importance of restoring and supporting the natural curves of a healthy spine! Cultivating good postural awareness will aid and increase balance and stability and reduce pain in the body both on and off of the mat.

Together, we will explore practical exercises that can be done daily to correct common postural imbalances.
